WHO WE ARE
Founded on June 7th 1904 by Antwerp diamond merchants keen to move their diamond dealing from café Petit Duc in the Pelikaanstraat to a more secure and structured place of business.
WHAT WE DO
We foster the interests of the Antwerp diamond industry. The Bourse is a place that brings people together in the shared pursuit of high standards within the industry.
WHERE WE WORK
A building spanning a block from the Pelikaanstraat to the Hovenierstraat. Host to a magnificent trading hall, testimony to centuries of Antwerp’s trade in rough & polished diamonds.
BUSINESS. TRADITION. INTEGRITY.
The Antwerp Diamond Bourse (Beurs Voor Diamanthandel) is governed by twelve Board members, elected for a period of 4 years. Half the Board is elected every two years to preserve continuity.
Board members are devoted to the advancement of the diamond business, as well as to the stewardship of the Bourse both as an insitution and a physical building.
On an operational level the Board of Directors is organized in committees, as under:
- Building
- Security
- Budget

The Bourse has seats on the Boards in the following institutions:
- Federation of Belgian Diamond Bourses

“The Antwerp Diamond Bourse is more than just a place where diamonds are bought and sold. It is the critical intersection that facilitates the international diamond business in Antwerp.”
